I bought a couple of really cute blankets (elephants are our theme) and some useful baskets to store things.
I'll probably have some formula prior to December, in case something happens and Carlos can't breastfeed. The last thing I'd want to do is run out and buy something the day we come home from the hospital!
I'm going to buy the crib/other nursery furniture well before the due date (prob. during 2nd tri sometime)... DH likes to "set stuff up." I will also stock up on some diapers for the NB age, but I don't want to get too many in case LO is allergic/doesn't fit/etc...

I'm a planner and organizer so I hope to have the nursery and baby gear set up. I would also like to have some diapers, diaper wipes, diaper cream, special laundry soap, and things like that.
We have all of our gear/clothes from DS so if we are having another boy we are set. I'll probably have a few packs of diapers and wipes (hopefully DS will be potty trained by then *fingers crossed*!)
We are not sure we're going to find out the gender. I have lots of family and friends that are offering us their baby stuff. All of which I am accepting. All of these people had girls, lol. Whatever I can't use (or is far too girly) I can take to consignment/thrift shops and find something more neutral.
We are very, very focused on being as environmentally friendly as we can be, so recycling is a huge part of this experience for us. This baby will have a baby sized carbon footprint when it gets started.

I don't want to find out the sex, but I'm definitely a planner so it's going to be difficult. Not a fan of yellow or green! I'm going to wait to buy anything until after the baby shower, my dad has already said he's going to make the crib which will help tremendously. My cousin had a baby 6 months ago and her glider is amazing, I'm definitely going to need one of those!

We probably won't buy too much of anything before we find out the gender or before we have a baby shower.
It'll mostly just be purchasing whatever is left on the registry and other things we'll need before December arrives.
