Please recommend your Diaper Pail

Up to now we are getting along with just a regular trash can. However once she starts solids I have a feeling that won't work anymore. My local Target has the Arm and Hammer one. Other than that I have to order online or go to a bigger store in the Cities (which we are doing tomorrow). If you have a diaper pail system...what do you like/not like about it? How often do you have to empty it?

    We have the Diaper Genie Elite II (2, one upstairs and one downstairs) and we loooooooove them!  

    The refills are cheap ($5) and last several months, so dont let that deter you!

     I like it because it is hands free (just step on the pedal and drop the diaper in) and it doesnt let the stink out.

     I empty it about every other week...maybe less often than that.  If I had just one I would say it would be emptied once a week or so.

    we have the diaper champ and I love it...you can use normal trash bags which is great, and it keeps the smell in really good. The only thing that sucks is when it starts getting full, you have to open the top and push the diapers down to make room for more. We empty it about every 5 days or so.

    We have the Diaper Champ and are really happy with it.  You can use regular garbage bags (huge plus), we empty it 1 x a week and the only time we smell it is when we take the bag out.  Mid week I have to open it and push them down to make room, but I do it quick so I don't notice a smell.

    We have had the same one since DD #1 was born  - almost 4 years ago. Doesn't smell or anything, I love it.

    Please invest in a diaper pail! I highly recommend the Diaper Genie Elite II. It has a pedal that opens the pail for you. And it definitely keeps any smells in check. The refills aren't expensive either. So far we like everything about it! We usually have to empty it about 2 times a week...

    Are you using cloth or disposables?  I have a Diaper Champ, but it doesn't work well with cloth diapers.  I think it would be good for sposies, though.

    We have that arm and hammer one and only put poopy diapers in it. Just wet ones go in a regular covered trash can.  We empty the arm and hammer one about once a week I'd say. It works nicely, doesn't smell bad. I originally ordered the diaper champ but it came to my house broken and if we wanted a new one we would've had to order online again, so we just tried out that arm and hammer one instead.

    I have the Arm & Hammer one and I love it.  We've emptied it twice since she's been home and the refills are inexpensive.  It's super easy to change out and the bags have a top that snaps closed.
