I recently had the opportunity to do this "swap" for DD, and so far I am IN LOVE with the activities. Most of the activities are too advanced for her at the moment, but there are a few that she and I can do together to learn shapes and colors. DH was using them last week to keep DD occupied while I was in one doctor's appointment after another and all the receptionist commented on how patient she was being.
Here is how it works. You get a group of people together (I did mine through meetup) and a leader will assign for you to make an activity. If there are 20 people in your group, you make 20 of your assigned activity. When you go to the swap, you hand out your 20 activities and get 19 different activities in return (getting 20 total when you keep one for yourself).
I am so happy I did it, and I wanted to pass the information on.
