Back from Growth Scan

First the good stuff

Babies have grown about a 1lb each in the past month. Audrey is 2lbs 13oz. Our little man is 2lbs 11oz. Holy cow that's a lot of baby at 28 weeks!

My pulse is normal for twins (120) as is my blood pressure.

I have some swelling in my ankles but nothing to worry about yet.

Now the other stuff

I am 28weeks2days -- my uterus is measuring 39-40 weeks already. Seriously, holy crap! No wonder I feel so huge, I am!

My cervix has shortened from 3.5cm to 2.8 cm. The MFM said the cervix doesn't shorten without contractions so they did an NST. I haven't felt any contractions in the past 2 weeks (since my last check) and there weren't any on the monitor after 30 minutes so no offical bedrest for now. I just have to start going in weekly to have my cervix checked now.

So that's the update -- babies look great and I get to be even more "lazy" to try to keep my cervix long enough. Overall not a bad appointment at all.

Sounds like they are growing nice and big!! Thats awesome! Wow, already measuring 39/40 weeks! I'm glad that things went well today! Rest and relax and keep that cervix where it is!
