Night 2 of "Operation Big Boy Room"

So he's asleep in his crib in his room again. Did his bedtime routine in his room instead of ours, put him in crib mostly asleep, he rolled over and seemed to be asleep but as soon as I left the room I heard him cry. Went back in, laid him back down, rubbed his back until he was asleep and left again, so far 13 minutes down. I've checked on him 4 times (and we do have a video monitor too but it's hard to tell if he's breathing on it).

Would it really be that bad for him to still be sleeping in our room/bed when he's 8? It works for Celine Dion...and it's not like we NEED to have sex to have another baby...

Good news is last night he only made it 2 hours so I'm hoping he wakes up before I go to sleep.

    Awwww...... mama.... I hope things go well tonight!

    ps - I don't see anything wrong with a baby in the room till age 8 or so.  I think once they hit teens it's weird.. but before that, totally cool :)

    FWIW, Henry still sleeps in our bedroom.  And both of my older kids did too till they were toddlers.

    You just gotta do what works for you family!

    TMI:  since when does sex only have to happen at night and in bed??

    See others, have made this argument, but the issue is that he doesn't usually sleep anywhere except right next to/on me during the day. So we can't exactly do it when he's napping, wherever that may be. And at night w/ him in our bed, I don't want to leave the room and leave him unattended.

    DD is with us most of the time. I have my list of excuses and dh does not even try to make excuses:)~ Dh and I both get up at 4am for work, I'm too tired on work days to get her back to sleep so I throw her in bed and everybody goes back to sleep:)

    I have flushed so much judgement down the drain since having dd. I was a in her crib the night she comes home kind of personStick out tongue Jokes on me I guess!

    FWIW and TMI we still find time for some lovin'! When all else fails we turn on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

    Good luck! Our "Operation Big Boy Room" on Sunday was a total fail, and we gave up ... for now. We ended up rearranging our bedroom to fit the PNP, and DH is now suggesting we move the crib in there. Yeah. So not much action going on in my house either.

    It will all work out in the end, that's what I tell myself. Good luck!

    Oooh!  Good luck :)   Hopefully he'll get used to it and go down (and stay down) easily soon.

    We're going to give "operation big GIRL room" a try w/ our LO on monday.  I was planning on keeping her in our room maybe until 6 mos. but she sleeps in an old fashioned cradle and she's turned into a bit of a crazy sleeper...I'm concerned she will break her way out of the darn thing!!   LOL :)
