So far DD's labs have come back normal so the pedi thinks DD "might" have Roseola. It's kind of a wait and see if the rash appears. Anybody's little one ever have this and how long did it take for the rash to appear/disappear? TIA
DD had it. She had a really high fever for 24-48 hours. After the fever broke she had a lovely rash all over her torso for another 2 days or so. I think these time frames are right. It was a while ago.
We are hoping that is what he has now. He has had a fever between 101-103 for two and a half days now. We are just waiting on the rash to appear, so we know he is not contagious anymore.
DS also has had roseola. He had a high fever (102.6 or so) for 24-48 hours. I immediately called the pedi because he wasn't acting sick otherwise (no cold, no signs of an ear infection, etc.) and he had never had a high fever before. I took him to get him checked out, and other than the fever, he seemed fine. They told me if he got a rash once his fever broke, it was roseola. About a day or two after the fever broke, he got a rash, so we know that's what it was. I can't remember how long he had the rash for, but it wasn't for more than a day or two.
Hope your DD feels better soon.
