NBR: Good cosmetology school in MN?

Okay I'm looking for a little help here. I'm reletively new to MN and looking to go to school for cosmetology. I took a look at the Aveda institute and I loved it. BUT they don't offer a part time program and I can't quit my current job to go back to school.
Can anyone give me a recommendation of another school that has a good reputation? I am looking for one that would allow me to work at a nice salon/spa.
Thanks!

  • Both Scot Lewis and Regency Beauty offer part-time programs. I don't know much about them other than I've lived near one of the schools at some time or another. :)

  • 2 girls I know go to SPA in New Hope.  I don't know if they have part time, but check it out.
  • I went to Regency Beauty Institute and I believe that they have a part-time course at the Blaine campus. I think the Burnville campus may have one as well. As for them making it possible for you to work in a nice salon, that would be no problem. I worked at really nice salon in St. Paul before I got the opportunity to branch out & work as a freelance makeup artist & hairstylist for TV & Film.
Good luck & all the best to you!!
  • I went to Scot Lewis in Bloomington and they have a part-time classes.  (they have other locations too)
