bluebonnets close to town?

I guess it's that time of year and I would clearly be a terrible parent if I missed my son's first bluebonnet photo op season.  Anyone know of any good patches relatively close to town?  Thanks!

  • There are a few patches around Memorial Park. They are smallish and you have to take the pics at the right angle so 610 or Memorial isn't in the background, but I did it last year!

  • The median along Westcott usually has nice wildflowers, that's where I went DD's first year and it worked well.  I'm talking about the area just across the street from the Chevron at I-10 and Washington/Westcott by Memorial Park.
  • I10 and Taylor... Down the walking paths along the bayou, there are always some. That's where we typically do pictures.

  • In League City there are some on 96 close to 146.
