South Florida Babies

Mel

I read an article today and made me think of you.  It's in American Baby magazine.  About two moms who are pregnant w/their 2nd baby and they feel as if baby #2 doesn't get all the hype w/baby #1.  I think all moms feel that way...b/c baby#1 is a brand new experience, but I think what every mom should remember is that every child is a brand new experience.  Mel- you're never going to have a 2nd baby, this is you 2nd baby and you will experience things w/him or her that you will not experience with Sophie or any other future children.

Enjoy #2 for being #2!!!! ::HUGS::

Re: Mel

  • Thanks for sharing, Cynthia. I will have to look up that article.

I have heard a lot of that....the love is the same but different at the same time because each child is different. This one already seems different from Sophie in so many ways that I cannot wait to meet him or her!

  • When I read your blog I thought, WOW Isabella was the 1st born & 1st granddaughter.  My #2 will totally not have as much attention...b/c unfortunately, you have #1 to take care of.  And w/sooo many things on a mom's plate, you can easily forget you're pregnant.  But after reading this article I came to the conclusion that #2/3/4/5/6 etc need to be loved for being #2/3/4/5/6.

Plus, remembe Sophie got the brunt of parenting.  #2 is lucky he/she won't have to deal w/all that.

  • Sorry to interfere. Mel I left you a comment on your blog as well. Happy Good Friday and many blessings.
  • And for that reason, that is why I'm having 2 at once!  Stick out tongue  J/K, but the article Cyn describes does sound interesting.
