Who went overdue but still went into labor spontaneously?

I'm scheduled to be induced on 4/10 and am really hoping to avoid it. I know I still have plenty of time but that overdue insanity is starting to creep in. Share your story and give me hope Smile

I did! My DD was 15 days overdue and I had to be induced, so I was eager to not be induced again. This time I was almost a week overdue and low and behold started contracting on my own and had my DS without any pitocin, it was fabulous! I did all of the things to bring on the labor...walk, evening primrose oil, spicy foods and lastly, bounced on my exercise ball for about 3 hours the day before I went into labor. GL!

i was 5 days late when I went into labor, The day before I went walking around in Target to try to get the ball rolling, apparently it worked!

I did. I had 0 progress and 0 contractions at my 40 week appointment (I was 40 weeks 1 day) and had my induction scheduled for the following week. At 40 weeks 4 days I woke up feeling crampy and had diarrhea and about threw a party thinking this was it. About 2 am the next day I started having time able contractions and had DS 9.5 hours later at 11:30. I thought for sure when I went to the hospital they were going to send me home but I was 5 cm dilated with a bulging bag of water so they kept me. I was only at the hospital for 5 hours or so before he was born. My little man was 5 days late.

I think my mom cursed me as a kid. She used to always tell me "just wait until you have kids, they'll be just like you!" Well, I was 5 days late too. Heheh

I went to 40wks 5days until Max decided to come out. I was scheduled to be induced the very next afternoon, so I guess he wanted to wait until the verrry last opportunity before sneaking out on his own

With dd I was 12 days late but my water broke on its own the day before I was due to be induced. This time around I did not want to go late, I walked tons, then we bought a exercise ball and I bounced on it for hours the day we got it, I went into labor that night at midnight, 6 days early!! Its worth a try and even if it doesnt work they are pretty comfy to sit on.

I went into labor the night before I was supposed to be induced...40 weeks and 5 days. I walked a LOT that last week and went from 1/2 cm to 5 cm when I checked in. I circled our mall for 1 hour, 2 days in a row. If it works for women in labor, it couldn't hurt to try and put yourself into labor.

I went into labor 5 days after my due date and 5 days before my induction date. You never know when it will happen.

We did not set an induction date when I went in at 40weeks only 80% effaced and finger tip dilated. I went into labor exactly one week later all on my own and it was great.

Yes I did 4 days overdue, shopped all morning,,..then vacuumed cleaned my whole house, then that night I put on loud dance music and danced for 1 hours...went into labour that night...`didn`t think it was possible since I wasn`t having any symptoms

My baby was a week late. I was scheduled for an induction a few days later, but thankfully didn't have to make that appointment.
