So, with DD turning one, we are now working on changing over to milk. I was going to do whole milk. I talked to DCP yesterday and she said she does 2% because of the fat content and her girls tummies couldn't handle it. Enfamil now has a toddler formula that I was looking at the other day. We have DD's 12 month check up on Monday so I will ask her ped, but I was also wondering what you ladies think. Should we ask DCP to stock whole milk? Should we just go straight to 2%? Or with the toddler formula, should we do a mix of 2% milk and formula?
Re: Whole milk, 2%, or toddler formula?
We did whole milk until today and now are starting 2% since shes turning 2 tomorrow.
The fat content in whole milk is important for brain development.
We are doing whole milk per ped's advice.
My mom said when I was little, she was told 2% because of the fat content possibly upsetting my stomach too and was very worried that DD would have problems, but she's had no issues. She occassionally has 2% or skim and hasn't objected to either.

This...now is not the time to worry about fat content unless their tummy doesn't tolerate it well.
