If we weren't going for Polish names, I would totally use Faulkner.  I just think that it's super rugged!

I actually do not think of a rugged guy when hearing the name Hunter..  I think of a preppy school boy in polo shirts, who goes sailing in the summer...

Michael, Dominic, Anthony, Christoper, Derek, John, Bruce

    Charles, of course!

I'd suggest looking through a list of Catholic Saint's names.  They're all very traditional and even if you're not Cath, there are many good ideas in there.

It wouldn't be my choice, but I don't think it is terrible.

Like names suggested above better though

    Me, too.

I don't necessarily like these, but:

Gunnar, Gauge, Walker, Wyatt, Sawyer, Levi, Abraham nn Abe...

If your hubby likes Hunter because it's a pastime for him, I would steer him away by offering some brand names related to hunting.  Less obvious connection. Flip through the Cabela's catalog, especially if there's a particular type of hunting he enjoys.  If all else fails, I like Hunt better than Hunter.

My husand loves the name Hunter too, bc he hunts. I personally am not a fan. We are possibly going to use this for a middle name for a boy.
