I have posted on here before but I mostly lurk.  My family will be going thru a big change soon... my SD has decided to come live with me, DD, and DH.  I am excited and nervous at the same time.  Everyone on here is very supportive of each other and gives lots of honest opinions and I am looking forward to joing in.

    My insight is coming from someone that in the last 3 months had a 20 yr old SD move in with DH and I. IWe both had these wildly idealistic notions of how we were gonna help her get her life on track....and it has NOT even come close. 11 yr old might be young enough to make a difference in her life in a positive way. I'd be super careful and try to think of all the pros and cons BEFORE this happens. Good Luck and I hope everything works out positively for your whole family.
