Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

DD pointed to the TV and yelled, "DADA!!", but...

it was not her daddy. We were listening to a 'music choice' channel, and "Right Round" by Flo Rida was on. His picture was on the screen when she pointed and started yelling, "DADA!  Dada!!".

Her daddy is pretty pale by comparison, and I'm pretty sure I never slept w/Flo Rida....

  • Hilarious!
If Quentin sees any guy that is wearing a baseball hat and is really tall and thin, he also screams out "Dada!"
    Cracks me up.

  • maybe dadda listened to that song with her? or that channel? and she remembers it...
  • bwahaha.  dd does this.  excepts it usually when she's pointing to any man or boy in a ball cap.  talk about embarrassment!

some older woman at the grocery store looked at me weird when dd pointed and said "dada" and i said "no!  that's not dada"...she sort of looked at me like, "poor dear, she doesn't know who her father is"  LOL.

  • Any man w/ gray hair is Paw Paw to Liza and any older woman is "Ju Ju" (my mom).  There have been a few times where I have been w/ her and then seen her yell out "mama!" to another chick.  "Um, no, brilliance.. I'm right here. Remember?"

i feel like your inner monologue is very similar to mine.

  • My DD saw Roger Rabbit on TV the other day and said Dada.  He was very happy to hear about that.

  • OMG! Too funny!

My SF was all cocky about my sister saying "Dada" before "Mama." Right up til the morning she called our 60yo black garbageman "Dada."

I thought my mother was going to die laughing.

  • We were watching 30Rock last week and there was a scene at the end where Kenneth the page started dancing in silver sparkely underwear and she shouted "Dada."  I just laughed and laughed because I tease my husband about looking like Kenneth the Page.
