TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Hello TTCAL6+ how about a check in?

We haven't done one of these in awhile.  I've seen a few posts here and there about appointments and procedures.  What's going on with everyone else?  It can be TTCAL related or something else.

Re: Hello TTCAL6+ how about a check in?

  • TTCAL related: Blah, CD3 here.  I made my yearly appointment yesterday for next week.  I'm going to have the b/w to check if I have heterophilic antibodies.  I guess she wants to know what my non pg HCG level is, you know in case I have another m/c and they need to monitor the levels.

Not TTCAL related: It's a gorgeous day here and I'm stuck in my office.  I think I'm going to go for a walk at lunch and not come back.

  • TTCAL:  Not much new here - it's CD10 of my "break" cycle.  My break consists of skipping the meds and IUI, but still doing pom, mucinex, acupuncture, chinese herbs, baby aspirin, PNV, preseed, and OPK's.  So I'm not really sure if it's a break cycle.  FWP will probably start tonight or tomorrow.

NTTCAL:  It is going to be beautiful here through the weekend and I'm off tomorrow so I'm excited to go to the dog park and play some tennis.  I am leaving for a job interview in a few minutes so I'll be away the rest of the day.

  • AF has shown for real, no more of this spotting crap. I'm excited to get through this cycle, and on to the next one, because then we can go in for base line and figure out "The Plan."

I think I might be ready to try again, in a month or so, and that's exciting. If the RE really thinks an IUI is the way to go, even though we conceive easily, we're open to it.

Other than that, it's all Scout all the time. :)

  • TTCALR:  Still TTA, but I go in for a clomid lesson on April 13th.  We should be TTC the end of April, first part of May.

NTTCALR:  My grandma is still hanging on, the family is exhausted and stressed.  I'm desperatly looking for a new job, had a couple of interviews but haven't heard anything back yet.

  • TTCAL related: Dx of PCOS yesterday and started the Metformin last night. I hope that this is the cure and I can get a healthy baby. I'm out for this cycle so that I have time to let the medicine kick in, but we'll be TTC in May!

Not TTCAL related: I'm silly excited to go to Vegas this month and Napa next month, even though I've been to both places. It'll be wonderful!

  • I'm 3dpo and driving myself crazy with the FF chart gallery. E-vil.

I made my obgyn appt for the end of April and if I'm still not pregnant by then, we will discuss our next step.

Oh and (AW) Tuesday is my birthday. 35. Blah.

Momma to three boys: Henry - 4yo Alex - 18mo Jack - born 2/23/12 at 20w due to ruptured uterus (previa and accreta resulting in hysterectomy) He only lived here on Earth for an hour, but he will live in our hearts forever. m/c #1: sept '09, m/c #2: july '10
  • TTCALR: Started prometrium last night to bring on AF after clomid cycle #1 was a big fat fail. Also picked up new clomid prescription of 100 mg. Spoke with BF last night, and he agreed that if next cycle doesn't work, we are pushing the Dr for IVF.

NTTCALR: My farking office has an issue with the air conditioner and it's FREEZING in here.

  • Hey, I'm officially TTCAL 6+ today.  Yaaaay!  Oh right, nooooo!

Going in Monday to hopefully find out why I keep losing babies.  Good luck with that, right?

In other news, it's 12:45 on a beautiful day, I haven't done a scrap of work and I really need to.  Good luck with that too, right?

    4 early losses 2009, 2010, 2015.  Baby #1 born 2/13/11.
  • TTCALR: I am early in the 2ww right now, we did gonal-f/TI/Prometrium this cycle. I'm praying this works, but honestly, I'm trying not to get too excited in the hopes that the BFN won't hurt so badly.  I had so hoped to be pg by our EDD, but I just have a feeling that it isn't going to happen. :(

And it is beautiful outside, and I still have 3 more hours to work.  Boo. :(

  • TTCAL related:  I'm in a waiting pattern now, waiting for the doc to call back with betas and for my u/s on Monday.  I'm scared.  Moreso than I was just a few days ago.  Making the appointments felt like signing up for the stupid lousy loss dance we've done before.  Here's hoping this time is different.

Not TTCAL related:  I've got so much work to do and my office partner just keeps talking. I don't want to talk. I want to work.  Since I can't, I'll bump.  In other news, I wrote this lengthy post on Sharpies today in my blog: https://nowletmetellyousomething.blogspot.com/2010/04/hello-my-name-is-monica-and-im-sharpie.html

  • TTCAL related: I'm 11dpiui...yes, 11 and I still don't have the urge to POAS.  I feel like AF is going to show any day just to punctuate the already craptastic cycle I had.

NTTCAL related: DH's birthday is tomorrow so I have to figure out what the heck I'm going to get him.  I ordered a few things for his dirt bike but wanted to get him something fun.  Maybe I'll just take him to the Four Seasons for the night and we can get yummy food delivered to the room while we hang out in our fluffy robes.  Hmmmmm, I think I've found my plan!

  • TTCAL related: I'm on CD20 and it looks like I haven't ovulated yet. Still. WTF. No crosshairs yet, and OPKs are getting darker. And of course I'm out of internet cheapies. Shiit. We're still TTA, even though DH doesn't want to. I just don't want to get pregnant again ,honestly. And I'm biitching constantly about my uncaffeinated, nonalcoholic, dairy-free state, and DH thinks that means we need to get a move on and make all these sacrifices worth it. I think I just want to get my tubes tied and live on coffee. With cream.

Not TTCAL related: I'm slightly riding a little bit of a high from my fabulous weekend in Chucktown.

  • TTCAL Related: I switched BCP's last night and finally stopped throwing up.  Loestrin seems to be much better on my system than Yasmin.  I went to bed at 730pm last night after throwing up the nice dinner Kevin made for me.  I suck.

Not TTCAL Related:  I am in a mad frantic dash at work to get everything done and the big-wig boss is in town today and we are all bringing our families out to dinner.  Then we are leaving town tomorrow to spend the weekend in a freezing cabin in the middle of nowhere....with my parents.  Kill me, kill me now.

  • PeetiePie - this is a great idea.  It is nice to see how everyone is doing!

TTCAL related:  TTA - blood work for RPL yesterday (had a mini freak out - better now).  Will wait to get results in to see what is coming next.  Still not referred to a RE and don't know if that is a good thing or not.  DH still doesn't want to talk about anything baby related.  I still think about it a lot.

Not TTCAL related: it is so beautiful out!  All the windows are open and I am cleaning/organizing the house so we can move!  I'm on spring break, so loving not working!

  • TTCAL: Entering FWP week. It's odd because a baby this month would make me due on my B-day (ish.) I'm charting again and remembering why it was a PITA. I don't get up at the same time every day. Next cycle I'm planning to set an alarm for like 4 and go back to bed.

Not-TTCAL: If I'm not KU by July we are booking a fab vacation to my favorite island. I've been about 15 times but never with the Mr. It's kinda TTCAL related I guess.

I'd really like both, to be KU and go to AMI.

  • TTCAL: Had my annual today and dr asked about TTC. She said if I'm not pg in a few months to call her and we will do more tests. Everything was good other than that. Oh and I'm CD 18 today, got positive opks yesterday and today, we have BD (hate that term) every night since sunday and will tonight and maybe tomorrow morning too.

NTTCAL: Going to a concert tomorrow! So excited! Sister is having her baby either this weekend or next week. Getting my wisdom teeth out on Tues~not looking forward to that!

  • TTCAL related: I am 7dpo today.  This is the first normal cycle I've had since May of last year.  I had forgotten how torturous the 2WW was.  I don't have MF though, as my symptoms are too similar to those you get before AF shows.  I keep listing reasons why it will be good if I am not KU this cycle,...but yeah right who am I kidding here? I am going to be a damn mess if I am not.

NTTCAL related:  It was supposed to rain today, but it's nice and sunny outside and I'm stuck in my office. Sad

  • TTCAL Related:  I am on 8 dpo and want to POAS so badly.  My cycle just feels different this month.  The MF has totally kicked in since there is about a 1% chance that we would actually conceive naturally.  That being said...DH has decided he is ready to head back to IVF after my friends wedding in May which is great but there is no way we will get a round in before August.  My doctor wants to run a couple of tests, clean out my system, and check on DHs boys and work is just to crazy for me in May and June with IEP season.  So July/August we will hopefully be retrieving some beautiful eggs, implanting 1, freezing the rest, and brining home our forever baby in spring/summer of 2011.  Seems so far away...hopefully it will go fast!

NTTCAL Related:  It is spring break from school and the weather is beautiful!  Just spent the day shopping with my sister to find a dress and a bathing suit for the wedding...in FL...and was unsuccessful!  Oh well...just an excuse for another shopping day!

  • Hi there, I don't post as often as I should, but I'm a very active lurker & blog reader :)

TTCAL:  Wrapping up our first cycle of TTC after the 2nd m/c.  This cycle consisted of 50mg Clomid, baby aspirin, and Crinone 8% progesterone gel vaginally since 3DPO....and so far, BFN's on CD13.  I have some true symptoms, but something should be showing up on the stick by now...so I had a good cry today and am probably moving on to the next cycle soon.

NTTCAL:  My husband and I are trying to move back to Michigan to be closer to my family...after this year, I need my mom.  It's April now and we could be moving as soon as June...2 months!  Very excited :)

  • i'm on cd 5 and getting ready for FWP next week.  i've lost any excitement over TTC.  just not feeling it this cycle and feeling pretty down about the whole process.  hopefully it won't affect anything.

on another note i've had a really long week.  my mom's house got broken into and her purse was stolen.  only cash was taken but it really bothers me bc it had to be someone she knows.  i just think they know it's b/c she lives alone.  i'm really hurt that someone would prey on someone that lives alone.

also we started potty training nate this week and it's been really stressful but i'm happ to report he's been really good except for poops.  lol

  • TTCAL related: I don't even know what day I am in my cycle, and it's actually a refreshing feeling!  I had a lap/hyst done on Wed.  The dr found minimal endometriosis behind my right ovary and a few small polyps in my uterus.  He removed all of what he found.  DH spoke to the dr while I was in recovery, and he sounded confident in what he removed, and that it will increase our chances of getting pregnant now.  My follow up appt is the 14th.

Not TTCAL related: Our office is closed today, so I'm heading out to do some shopping!  It's supposed to be 84 degrees here today!

  • TTCAL Related:  Met with another RE yesterday for a consult to discuss IVF.  We're checking out financing options and then will make a move.

Not TTCAL Related:  I have soooo much work to do and it seems like everyone (including DH) has the day off.  It's making me a bit bitter.
