So, I have mentioned before the Factor V, the MTHFR, the Spina Bifida...and of course the Gestational Diabetes, for which I am not taking meds (which are not working, fasting numbers are still high)...today I added two more things.
1. Mild extra amniotic fluid, which I will understand more on Monday.
2. I found our about the fluid because I had to go to the hospital for monitoring and an ultrasound, because some idiot blasted into an intersection in front of me and hit me head on, while I was going through with my GREEN light...airbags deployed, his car flipped, I was terrified and my BP skyrocketed and he got a well deserved ticket. He did not, however, even once ask if I was OK or apologize, even though he walked away with minor injuries and I am very obviously pregnant.
After 3.5 hours in triage, everything looked ok - heart beat, placenta, etc. and I got to come home. But good Lord.
Can there be one more thing?
Re: One more thing...
While this sounds obvious to me it may come across rude to others...um, I find medicine works better in your system than on the shelf of the medicine cabinet- if you arent taking what they gave you, obviously its not going to help. I understand taking it and finding it doesnt help and being frustrated or wanting to take something else, but chances are, its not going to get better just "winging it" and pretending it doesnt exist.
Judgement aside, I am sorry you had a rough day- #2 sounds absoulutely horrifying! Pretty sure I would have gven that moron a thorough butt chewing for being such an inconsiderate jerk! Hope you are okay and feeling better aside from being kinda shaken up!
I mistyped - I meant to type, which I am NOW taking. I am fanatical about my meds, all of them, for the obvious reason that there are a number of complications. So allow me to correct....gestational diabetes for which I am NOW taking meds, and which they increased in dosage today, which are not working so far.
It would have made no sense at all for me to be whining about meds not working if I were not taking them. Hopefully that will allow you to retract your judgement, which I certainly don't need at this point. Thanks!
The extra fluid is not uncommon in GD. I am sorry about your car accident too. That is really scary when you are pregnant.
I am sorry that your meds aren't working well. That is frustrating, too, but I am sure they will get you on the right dosage.
Hang in there!
