NBR- Are you related to anyone famous?

Just for fun! It's always interesting to see who people are related to. I'm not, so I like to live vicariously through other people :)

    Not that I know of. My great great great uncle (or something like that) is President Andrew Jackson. I don't know if I would really brag about that considering he killed a lot of native americans.

    Not sure if this really counts, but somewhere really far down the line I'm related to Clark from the Lois and Clark expedition.  Only reason I know this is b/c my grandmother was really into geneology.

    I'm related to the original Davie Crockett.  His oldest sister was 18 years older than him and she married William Hisaw, one of my mom's way back relatives.  Kinda cool.

    I guess I am actually related to him through marriage. His wife is my great great (you get the picture) aunt through blood. But we are still totally related!

    Some people consider DH to be. I always say he's not famous to me. I guess 'cause he's been in a few video games and stuff. It's pretty cute, kids show up to the door all the time seeing if he's home.

    DH just informed me that he is related to a beheader for Queen Mary (yes, Bloody Mary). Also apparently on the same side he is related to Thomas Paine the revolutionary.

    Distantly related to designer Linda Loudermilk and also to songwriter John D. Loudermilk (if you've ever heard the song "Indian Reservation" by the Raiders I think, and I just learned the "Turn Me On" by Norah Jones was written by him). That's all I've got!

    I'm not related to anyone (I don't think there are many famous Japanese people LOL) but my DH is 2nd cousins with Sonny from P.O.D.... (DH's grandma and Sonny's grandfather are brother/sister)

     ETA: DH corrected me his grandma and Sonny's grandma are sisters... I thought it was Sonny's grandfather...

    I used to tell people (when I was like 5) I was related to Betsy Ross (You know the American flag maker) b/c my maiden name was Ross... but I'm not. lol

    I have an uncle that played for the Detroit Tigers, a cousin who plays for the Diamondbacks and a cousin who has played for the St. Louis Rams and Green Bay packers.

    My dad's cousin (my second cousin?) is the astronaut Jerry Ross...

    He has like the most walk time... or did. He no longer does flights but he is a specialist for NASA...

    The two sisters from the Bangles (Vicki and Debbi Peterson) are my second cousins.  I always wanted to get them to play at my wedding, but it never panned out :)

    I have two, semi-obscure ones :)

    1) My great uncle wrote the Oscar Meyer weiner song. 

    2) One side of my family is the Pinkertons, who started the Pinkerton Detective Agency.  (I didn't know this was a big deal, but DH studied criminal justice, and tells me that it's very cool.)

    Not really....

    but DH's uncle was a pilot for the Kennedy's (mostly Robert).

    and my Great Grandfather was a friend of George Eastman's and helped with his whole inventing the modern camera thing...which is cool for me since I'm a photographer!

    I know a lot of people in the music business thanks to DH and have met people...but no relation.

    So jealous!  I'd love that.  My closest to this is that I'm friends with a guy who's pitched for the Jays, Dodgers, Rays and now, the Orioles.
