Moving to Raleigh & prego! I need an OB and pedi. Help!!

Hi ladies!

Im currently in MI and it is official...we are moving to Raleigh (Wake Forest area). I am due Sept. 13 and need some recommendations for OB's in the area. Any recommendations would be GREAT!!! Also, what hospitals are in the area?? I saw a new Rex facility when I was out there last week in the Wake Forest area and wondered if it has a hospital or more of an outpatient facility.

I did post this request a month ago but really need more recs!! Pedi's as well as I have a 22 month old

welcome! there are some great pedi's in your area but I don't live there so I will leave the rec to the experts. as for hospitals or OB's. Wake Med and Rex are both great hospitals. Again, I'm on the other side of raleigh so my rec's may not be convinient. I delivered at rex and had mid-carolina OB-GYN. It is mostly all females (approx 5 femals and 2 male docs). GL

Hi-I live in Wake Forest and the new Rex center is actually a cancer treatment facility. They also put in a Rex wellness center there.

I have referred a TON of girls (and most recently my neighbor) to Blue Ridge OBGYN. The are about 6.5 miles from Wake Forest on Durant Rd. They also have an office on Blue Ridge Rd. They deliver exclusively at Rex Birth Center in Raleigh.

A ton of girls on here go to Jeffers and Mann Pediatrics, they have several area offices including a Wake Forest office near the Walmart, I have also referred a few girls on her to the WF office and they have been happy. I LOVE that pedi office, they see you immediately. We see Dr. Loibissio. They do a meet and greet every Monday for first time parents.

I used Atrium OB/GYN and had a great experience there. My regular gyn is Dr. Alvarez and he ended up doing my C/S, I have nothing but great things to say about him.

We also go to J&M. When I lived in Raleigh we went to the Raleigh office, now I drive 45 minutes to get to their WF office. I really love the practice and didn't want to switch to something closer. We usually see Dr. Lobissio or Dr. Herriott, but I like most of the doctors we've seen there.

Pretty much this exactly. I live in WF, go to Blue Ridge and the girls see Dr. Loibissio at Jeffers in WF. My oldest also went to Raleigh Peds before we switched insurances -- I was very happy with them also. I delivered both girls at Rex and had no problems with the hopsital.
