Says 2 days till "o" still getting neg on opk, what did this clomid do to me?

Since i finished the clomid i have had no side effects but also no side effects of approaching "O" usually have some ovary slight cramping and can just feel something going on and I have nothing.  It  will really suck if I fianlly tried something to help and it causes me not to O at all.  What does the clomid actually do.  The doc also started me on day six of my cycle instead of day 5 like the instructions said (only cause I was actually getting my yearly when he suggested I try it and told me to start today which was CD6.  So all you clomid experts lay it on me..... Hope everyones else fertility life is on an upswing! GL girls and thanks in advance.

    I think most people here will say "you shouldn't take clomid if you aren't being monitored".  By monitored, it means that they check your FSH on CD3 and then later in the month (think CD21 but I've forgotten this) and then compare the FSH to see if clomid gave your body the boost it needed.  Clomid doesn't work for everyone.  Or sometimes you need a higher dosage.  I don't think the day late matters.  I actually accidentally started a cycle a day late due to my own stupidity once - dr wasn't concerned. 

    Also, what cycle day are you now?  I don't remember exactly but you don't O right after ending clomid.  Also, it extended my cycle length so I'm going to assume it delays your normal O time for some too.
