getting healthy check in

Since I have been MIA....

I have been walking daily - not eating perfectly, but doing ok.  Today I am kickstarting back into high gear.  I want to lose 5-7 lbs by April 30th (the date of my apointment to get testing started).  I can do this!

So where are you ladies at?

Re: getting healthy check in

  • This is the fourth week in a row that I've exercised five days a week for an hour a day.  And I still haven't lost another GD pound.  BUT my clothes are fitting MUCH differently and I'm sleeping like a stone.

  • hmmm....not exercising. Eating only creamy pea pasta as my allergies are being a pain and I have no appetite.

So i'm probably just chilling at the same weight. I'll jump on the scale today to see where I'm at.

  • FK -  the weight thing is frustrating - I'm not really losing anything either.  I think that the fact that your clothes are fitting better is awesome though.  I wish there was just a magic 'something' that would make this all easy and instantaneous.  I think you are rocking it though - and eventualy the scale will start to move

Thanks, babe.  I'm just trying to look at it like less of a weight challenge and more of a tightening challenge.

That is a great way to look at things - I certainly have room for that in my wardrobe (as most things are a bit snug).  I just really don't want to go to my Dr.'s apt and weigh more than I did a year ago - especialy since they said it would be smart for me to lose 10lbs. • Man, do I feel you on that one.  Emotional eating is one of my biggest issues.

Happy = food   Sad = food  Tired = food  Celebrate = food

I've started to keep around nothing but either pretzels or Jolly Ranchers for those moments so I can't do much damage.
