I can't believe no one said anything...

Yesterday was Jake's first day out among the "public" with his helmet. My cousin, Jake, and I walked around Princeton, went to lunch, and had ice cream and no one said a thing about my cutie! Seriously he looks so cute in the helmet, but no one asked about it or even commented on how cute he was. What gives?

    That is crazy!! He is too cute!  I think the helmet is a fabulous accessory to an already adorable little boy.

    This is my own ignorance here, but can I ask why he has to wear it? I may have missed previous posted about it...

    He DOES look adorable!! But I'm sure anyone that noticed just wasn't sure what to say... At some point you are going to be annoyed by answering questions so maybe people decided to mind their own business?

    He's wearing the helmet to correct his plagiocephaly (aka flat head!) His back right side of his head is very flat from him favoring laying on that side in his first couple months of life. Since he was a preemie, and spent some time in the Special Care Nursery, they also suspect that might have contributed to the flatness. He will probably have to wear the helmet for about 8 weeks. Tomorrow is one week down....

    My DS has a flat head too.. They are reevaluating in a month to see if it "rounds out".. glad to know what the helmet would look like.  Thanks :)

    Helmuts are so common now and I know how sensitive moms can be....I wouldn't have said anything, but I always tell moms how cute their babies are!
