There's a girl on there saying how she doesn't/can't feel bad for her friend who had a m/c because her friend has called the baby a parasite in the past.
I responded with "I'm glad I don't have a friend like you!" Although I never referred to my baby as a parasite, I know woman who have and love their children like no ones business.
End venting now.
Re: GRRR 1st tri vent
Well, maybe you don't know the whole story? I knew a girl who would not give sympathy to others who m/c early and said the "baby" was just a bag of cells, so why would they be upset--until she herself had a loss. Then she went crying about her baby (not a bag of cells, like she previously said) and wanted tons of sympathy. I had a hard time giving it to her due to her previous comments and inability to acknowledge why other people would be upset.
Not that I'm making excuses for the poster b/c 1st tri is usually a special batch 'o stupid.

The parasite comment was probably a joke. A baby's survival is completely dependent on the mother. They take their nutrition from the mother. It is very similar to a host/parasite relationship. I've heard people joke about it many times. It is not a malicious statement. It is a joke. I've never taken offense when I heard it, nor did I take it as the 1st trimester OP must have. I agree with you. No matter what she said in the past. No one deserves to go through that.
How I read it is that her friend wasn't crazy about being pregnant and then she m/c. As always, though, POF said it best.
I tried to ignore.
FAIL.
Couldn't do it. I really dislike her.
