It is the supreme court ruling that made abortion legal in all 50 states Lanie.
The funny thing about it most people don't realize is that it was about interstate commerce and discrimination. Abortion was legal in some states and not all. The plaintiff claimed b/c she was poor that these laws discrimanated against her and denied her rights a richer person would have (b/c a rich person could merely visit a state where abortion is legal).
I guess in that sense I do think Roe V Wade is correct and shouldn't be overturned. It isn't fair one class of people have access and another doesn't. But I personally am against abortion.

Um... where to begin. Laws are interpreted by the court, so it wouldn't matter if the legislature made a law about abortion, the supreme court could still overturn it. And roe v wade did not make abortion legal per se. it overturned laws making abortions illegal based on the 14th amendment's right to privacy clause (i think it's the 14th, but i could be wrong).
lawmakers can't just freely make laws. there's a little thing called checks and balances and if you get enough conservatives on the court, it won't matter if congress tries to pass laws about abortion, the court will overturn them.
Also, r v wade can be overturned, and it would not prevent abortions. People are aware of this right?
Preventing abortions takes a lot more work and effort and social policy. Voting for a candidate who is "pro fetus" will not change the state of abortion in the US.
Voting for a candidate whose policies help change the real reasons for abortion, will.
Re: NBR: Roe V Wade Should be overturned
WTF are you talking about?
A woman's right to choose should be a law and not a court decision subject to interpretation and the decisions of the current justices on the bench.
Do you disagree?
It's about privacy.
