I am going crazy researching safe products for feeding my LO and come across sites talking how PUL is some bad sh!t and I am pissed caused you think your doing good by not using sposies... but there is always something to worry about with every product choice!

WTF??

ETA:

There are other sites if you Google PUL... here is another discussion on it... I am just frustrated with having to worry about all our purchasing choices for safety... gets overwhelming!

Re: So PUL is toxic too?!?!

  • PUL passes federal CPSA standards for safe use around children.  It is certified free of a great many nasties.  I wouldn't worry about it.
  • Loading the player...
  • that site you linked to doesn't really say anything useful.  i wish she had been more specific.
  • Even better plastics are still plastics. I'm not going to worry about it.
  • I just need some feedback to calm my worries down... sometimes the power of Google can be overwhelming cause there's always something to worry about Tongue Tied

  • the materials used to make the PUL are the toxic ones.  not that it's a good thing either, but it's not like your finishe product PUL covers are radiating toxic fumes onto your baby all day long or anything.
  • In other news, air is composed of oxygen!

    :op

It's all a matter of putting it into perspective.  Unless the kid is running around naked and you're practicing EC (EUC?) then there will be something that touches your little one that isn't 100% chemical free.

    Oxygen is highly toxic, too.

  • I'd rather have PUL touching DD's skin than the all the stuff in sposies.
