We've lived in our house for almost 4 years, and have never really talked to this couple that lives across the street from us. They are older than us, probably in their 40s or so. But they are not outside much, and really neither are we.
DH told me yesterday that when he was walking to the mailbox yesterday the man was walking behind him so he turned around and introduced himself. They got to talking about Logan (he was with DH) and the guy tells him that their youngest one just turned one year old, and the wife is due in a few weeks with their FIFTH child! I didn't even realize they had babies, let alone 4 of them! So he then tells DH that their oldest is...FIVE. Yes, five kids in five years!
Apparently we live next to the next Duggar family, and we didn't even know it!
Re: Since it's slow...a story from my neighborhood!
Five kids at all? ::faints::
Five kids in five YEARS? ::drops dead::
They must either be naturally quiet or very well um... disciplined?... for you to live across the street for that long and not know about them!
I wouldn't call that amazing so much as I'd really worry WTF they're doing with four kids you live next door to and NEVER see.
That's like, child abuse alarms going off in my head.
No need to go off on a tangent. It's not like they are locked up. I'm at work all day, get home, close my garage door and don't leave my house until the next morning. So I don't see much of ANY of my neighbors!
I think its more of the people on my street are very quiet, keep to themselves type people. I'm not very social with them so I dont see them. DH has seen the kids. He didn't know they were 5u5, but he's seen them.
