but LO is a girl, have you decided how to decorate the nursery?
We'll probably do something gender neutral anyway just so we don't have to totally redecorate for LO #2 someday, but even if I knew I was only having girls I don't want a flowery pink/pastel nursery. I want something unique and I'm not really in to "themes" like zoo animals or whatever. I have seen a few a liked...one was lavender and feminine but not in a frilly way, another was weirdly a greenish chartreuse color I would never think I'd like but it was really cool!
Have you ladies given this any though?
Re: If you're not a girly-girl...
I would probably go ahead and get something pretty plain. Target has some bedding that is brown with white polka dots that we might get, and then do the walls in a green color. Maybe put some white butterflies on the wall or something? I am not sure.
Either that or a forest animals theme.
But I hate almost all girl bedding. It is flowery and/or pink and just not my style at all.

When in doubt...

We've already painted the room a light blue with one wall having brown stripes as an accent. Either gender, I'll probably look for blue bedding and decor too. If we have a girl, I'll probably throw in some pink or "girly" accents in the room somewhere, but the majority of the room will be blue and brown.
I've never cared for the girly-girl look. If we have a girl and she's into that stuff when she gets older, I'll respect that and change the style for her taste. But for now, she's going tom-boy style!
Agreed, totally not into the frilly pink explosion that most "girl" crib bedding entails. We're going with the safari/jungle animals theme. The bedding I've picked out has green accents and a beigey-yellow main color. Haven't decided on a wall color since the hubby poo-pooed yellow. XD
If I weren't doing that, I've seen a lot of modern-look nurseries that I really love. Simplistic with bright, non-traditional colors.
I'm not into pink and I love sage green and blue anyway so we'd probably do something gender neutral and fun. I'm really into sun, moon and stars and have afew thigns that used to be in my room... I may see if i can convince DH to do that motif.
I'm thinking of using my son's stuff (from 8 years ago) whether I have a boy or not. It's still wrapped up good (I think) and it was Guess Jeans teddy bear. It was different blue jean/blue colors patch quilt with brown. And the lamp was bluejean with a teddy bear and the mobile was teddy bears. I was thinking I'll just add pink bows to the bears.
Ha! Ok it's very boyish but it looked SO comfy!
It's a GIRL!
I'm not into pink at all but Babies R' Us has some of the cutest bedding with a ladybug theme, it's pretty girly but if we do have a girl we'd probably do the walls a more neutral color to offset the girliness of the bedding. It's just so cute!

I have these Shag Disneyland prints:

framed in my office. I bought them, first of all, because I love them. But, I also always had in the back of my mind that it would be fun for a baby room. In my mind, the room won't be overly Disney-themed, but more fun and retro'y.
We did an under-the-sea theme with pale yellow for beach & blues & greens for sea because (a) I'm not a girly-girl and (B) we wanted it gender-neutral so all future babies could use it. I still love it!

Not sure if this is too girly for you, but this is the one we're getting. I wanted something for a girl, but I'm not a fan of pastels or fru fru things either. I thought this set was a little brighter and more modern. The walls will be in a lighter green so the pink isn't overpowering.

I am thinking, cherry blossoms and birds if it is a girl and Owls and trees if it is boy
