Mini Hormonal Freak Out

I'm having one of those days!  I'm feeling overwhelmed about things.  I'm sure a lot of it has to do with my hormones, but they are getting the best of me.

For starters, I feel like I never get to see DD.  I work all day and only get to spend time with her for 3 hours a day...tops!  I know so many parents do this same thing, but it's starting to wear on me.  I miss her!

I also feel like I can't stay on top of anything.  My house is a mess, DH has been sick and hasn't be helping me like normal.  I can't even keep up with the easy stuff like dishes and laundry lately.  It's driving me crazy!  I can't handle my house in such chaos, but I also haven't had the time or energy to fix it.

I'm also freaking out about money and how we are going to afford this 2nd baby.  We are only going to need daycare twice a week once #2 comes.   However, I calculated the cost today and it's still going to be $11,000 a year.  Holy sh*t!  Not exactly sure how we're going to make that work.

Please tell me to put on my big girl panties and deal!  I'm just feeling so uneasy and such a mess lately.  Please tell me I'm not the only mom who is feeling this way.

  • I'm sorry, hon.  You are dealing with a lot in a short period of time! I know it will all work out...it is just hard to see it sometimes.

  • Hang in there! We have had a lot of sticky financial situations in the last two years. Things ALWAYS work out.

I know that this is not ideal, but is it reasonable to have someone come in and clean once or twice in the next month? I know that that helps me get squared away. When my house is clean, I am calm! I know it is an added expense, but for me the 50.00 is WORTH IT!!

    Everything will fall into place!

  • I'm sorry ... you will get through this.  I stay home and I sometimes feel overwhelmed, I think what you're feeling is totally normal.
  • I don't know... things just tend to work out. I'm sure that you will come up with a working plan between now and then. I think you should just look at your siggy pic when you are feeling down, cuz that pic is so cute! I don't see how it wouldn't cheer you up instantly.

As for the house being a mess, I think that is just a part of life now. I've had to learn how to let things go. Is there anyone around that you could call on for help? My BFF came to visit me when Henry was 12 weeks old. She stayed for the weekend and helped me get caught up on all my cleaning, laundry, etc. Would someone be willing to help you out with a catch up day?

    (((hugs)))

  • Thanks you guys!  DH just doesn't know what to do with me when I have my little freak outs.

I think getting some help is a good idea.  My mom watches Stella on Mondays and I know she'd be willing to help with whatever I ask of her.  I just need to suck up my pride and ask.  I think I'll give it a try next Monday and have her do some laundry.  That would help me a ton!

I would love to get a cleaning person for once in awhile, but sadly it's out of the budget right now.  I think I really need to learn to re-evaluate my level of clean.  It just can't be the same when kiddos are in the picture.

And you guys are right, things always tend to work out somehow.  I'm also thinking it's time DH asks for a raise!!  It's way overdue.
