First BFP at 7 1/2 weeks?

It seems like every one gets there first BFP so early. I was testing weekly, but didn't get my BFP until yesterday. The first day of my last AF was Feb. 4th..... that would put me at 8 weeks tomorrow. ANyone else not get a BFP so early??

You might have actually ovulated late so testing early wouldnt have shown a positive.

It could be possible that you just ovulated really late. Were you charting at all? Hopefully your doctor will want to do an u/s so you can get a better idea of how far along you are, because that does seem a little late to just get a bfp since you mentioned you have been testing.

were you charting? Maybe you O'd late and arn't really at 7 1/2 weeks. I got my BFP at 6 weeks according to my LMP, but after my u/s they estimated the baby 2 weeks behind.. which means I would have been more like 4 weeks when I got the BFP.

This exactly, I was 2 weeks behind at my U/S too but I expected it because I was charting.

No I wasnt charting....

I guess I'll just have to wait til my appt. to see how far along I really am.

Lurking but I thought I would answer.

I didn't get my first BFP with DS until I was 6 w 5 days pregnant. Some women have really slow rising HCG.

You may just have ovulated late. HPTs may not work as well for you either. I have a friend that never got a positive pregnancy test with either of her two kids. She was 15 weeks pregnant with her son when she finally got a positive test at the OB office, and 12 weeks pregnant with her daughter.

CHW is right, so you could be anywhere between 3 1/2-8 weeks.

This. I ovulated WAY late (just coming off of the pill) and if I had gone by LMP I would have been like, 9w when I got my BFP. In actuality, I was about 3w.

my first pregnancy, I got it at 9 weeks. the dr had me come in the next day. so I explained I had long cycles, and they did an U/S. i was 6 weeks. Which I knew. but it made them feel better.

You should look into getting a digital pregnancy test that tells you how far along you are. Not 100% but it gives you a pretty close window.

They do not have these in the US as far as I'm aware.

I didn't get BFP until over 7 weeks with DS and this one too. And I was as far along as I thought I was. It is possible. I started testing when I missed AF both times and it took weeks still to get a positive HPT.
