? from 0-3 on how to lose the belly pooch

I am 4 weeks pp and want to start excersizes to lose the excess fat on my belly. I have good ab muscles under this layer of fat so i'm not sure crunches, ect would do much good. ?? What has worked for you to lose the extra pooch from pregnancy?

  • havent had time to excercise......no help here!

  • For me...breastfeeding.  No exercise.
  • Breastfeeding took most if it off.  I still have a lil extra stomach flub I'm working off.  I do zumba at the gym, I just started, so no changes yet.  But its mostly hip stuff so Im sure it will.
  • Breastfeeding, wearing baby around in the ergo, kickboxing classes, mommy and me yoga, jogging, and a healthy diet.
  • I do cardio.  I can't get rid of the last of it though!
  • when you find out let me know......i am still rockin' the pooch....

  • Breastfeeding. I now weigh what it says in my drivers license! I still have some a flabby belly though. Chrunchless Abs is helping me with that. So is a lot of walking.

  • Yeah, I've lost all my baby weight plus 12 lbs and its got to be beacuse of Breastfeeding. I havn't really exercised except for taking walks in the neighborhood on pretty days.

I do have a belly pouch still, so I'm with you on that. Walking, drinking lots of water, and eating right will help! That what I'm trying to do!

I like jogging too. Since you breastfeed. Has the bouncy motion hurt your supply at all? I have been told it's something you shouldn't do because of that.

  • I wear a tight sports bra. I know some people say that you shouldnt wear anyhting tight fitting, but its only for 30-45 minutes and it hasnt affected my supply any.

  • Breastfeeding, healthy diet, running.  I exercise pretty moderately and never had a problem with supply.  I think my "pooch" is gone - I am just waiting for the skin to tighten up again.....
  • My secret is wearing DS everywhere in my moby. I mean, like, EVERYWHERE. The heavier he gets, the more weight I lose. It's how I got back into my wedding dress, thankfully. Everything now is just gravy. Wink

    ETA: BFing helped tons, too!

  • Elliptical at the gym.

  • Running...I guess that would work.  I just sit on my butt, breastfeed and eat cheetos AND lettuce!  <--kidding!  I do bf, but since I've been back to work, I've lost more weight.

This.  I'm blaming the c-section!  (yeah right!)  Walk walk walk!  I have lost a ton of weight so far, eventually I'll either lose the pooch or be a skeleton with kangaroo tummy!

Me too. BFing made me hungry.
  • The old adage "abs are made in the kitchen" always has rung true for me.  Focus on your diet

That said, I'm still rocking the pregnancy pooch
