Success after IF

What do you keep your air/heat on?

We're now to that air during the day, heat at night point, and I'm just curious what everyone keeps there thermostats on. What is the most energy efficient?

And side note-what does your LO sleep in? He's been in a short sleeve onesie w/ a fleece (long sleeve) wearable blanket or in long sleeve footie pjs w/ a cotton (sleeveless) wearable blanket. I was thinking I would have H in a short sleeve onesie w/ a cotton (sleeveless) wearable blanket. Sound about right? Or will his arms get cold?

Many thanks :)

Re: What do you keep your air/heat on?

  • We keep the heater on at 66 at night, but upstairs it feels warmer than that.  We don't have A/C since we're close to the water, but I wish we had it.  I would probably keep it at 76.

They sleep in footed PJs and a cotton Swaddle Me.

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

  • We have two thermostats.  I keep the one on our side of the house on 72 during the day, 70 at night.  On Paige's side of the house, I keep it on 72 at all times.

She sleeps in a shirt and pants set jammies and a sleep sack (sleeveless).

  • we don't have a LO one yet, so this may change...but our thermostat is set at 68 while we are home and awake and 62 while we arent...and we don't have whole house A/C...just window units
  • My heat is on 70 - drafty old house. I live near the ocean, so we get a chilly seabreeze to boot. No central air.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

  • We keep the heat at 68. The bedrooms at the far end of the house seem a little cooler, so H sleeps in a t-shirt, cotten footed jammies, and a lightweight fleece sleeper OR a long sleeve t-shirt and a fleece footed jammies. I will de-layer him as it gets warmer.

When it gets warm enough for a/c we will probably keep it between 72-74. Not sure what H will sleep in at that point.

  • Right now it's on 66 around the clock.  It doesn't kick on much during the day since it's been fairly warm.
  • We keep the heat on 70 when we are home and 68 during the day. Lately we've been turning it off at night because our house is so freakin dry.

Our A/C is normally on 70 unless it's super hot out.  Since we don't have our LO yet I don't know how our temps will effect her room yet.

    The a/c is at 70.......

During the winter, the heat is at about 68........

ETA: For sleeping, DS1 wears 2 piece cotton sets (some have short sleeves....) and he has about 3 blankets in his crib. DS2 is sleeping in cotton footie zip-ups and he sleeps with one thin blanket.

  • We have our thermostat set for 70 all day and night, year round.  Heat or A/C.  Its going to be warm here at the end of the week and weekend, so we'll probably just keep the AC on and it just won't run over night.

Jacob wears a onesie and fleece footed jammies in the winter and cotton ones in the summer.

this - actually, I think kimarino and I live in the same town.  We are probably neighbors!  :-)

We also keep the thermostat at 66, upstairs feels warmer.  I put R- in footed cotton (not fleece) pjs and a cotton sleep sack.
