  • Ya she is actually not the annoying teen, like we have seen in the past few days... she seems to have her act together.

True. She seems pretty cool. I still think it's crazy it's coming up so much still.

  • She seems quite put together and seems to have a great idea of what she needs to do to make it work.

Personally, I am 36 so I have the same thoughts whether a girl is 18 and pregnant or married at 21 and pregnant... That is also quite common on these boards.

  • This girl seems to have it together actually! If the young moms on here want to voice their opinions because it makes them feel better, we should not lurk onto other boards for a witch hunt! Not saying you are, but that seems to be the trend lately.

Im arguing a custody case right now between to people who are both in their 30's and their behavior proves that age and marriage are not at the key to raising children.

It'd be a tad hypocritical of me to do that. Like I said, she really seems well put together. I meant more of the fact it's STILL being brought up.

  • Hey ladies! Clicked on the post but not sure what your all talking about, although I did read the replys to try to get an idea! I saw the thing about being 21, married, and preggo. I dont see whats wrong with that. I found out I was preggo on my 22 birthday, but I was preggo at 21 then. Ive been married for 4 years tomorrow. I dont see anything wrong with that.

STILL being brought up by who? If this girl can pull it off and bring up a decent human being, then good for her. She has her parents in her life and she seems driven. Like I said I know many, too many idiots who use their children as pawns rather than just being parents to a deserving child.

I think the hypocritical part would be for us all to forget what we were like at the age of 17 or maybe even younger! So if the roles were reversed, I would have rather had an honest opinion rather than a witch hunt mocking!

I think what the previous poster was saying was that it doesn't matter if you're 18 and pregnant, or 21 and pregnant, she judges you for the same criteria (maturity, I'm assuming).*

This thread is in regards to:  Lately we've had a storm of 17 year olds coming onto the boards and yelling at everyone about how they're so mature and wise. Basically, acting like a know-it-all teenager, saying they know more at 17 than most of us knew by the time we were in our 4th year of college.  Which is ridiculous, but I've heard many teenagers say the same crap. For some reason they just can't see how ridiculous they are.

On Third Tri just now, another young girl (17-year-old) posted a confession of her age and her life plan.  Not that there was anything wrong with her post, because she sounds more put-together than the other teenies, but Noah was just saying she can't believe we're still stuck on this topic and that teens are still coming out of the woodwork with their life stories looking for approval or judgement (all their posts are titled something like "Judge me if you want")

*Pp, if I mistranslated your comment then I am so sorry, thats what I derived from it.

  • Hey hey! Thanks for replying back to me :] I was wondering what the post was about and I totally get what your saying/talking about now! Thanks!!

Congrats on 4 years since you were 18 and married.

I totally agree with this...except I'm 29.  I feel very young, still, but cannot imagine getting KU - either by accident or on purpose - at 18 OR 21.
