Ergo...

Right now my 4 month old hates the Ergo. When she was tiny I put her in it with the newborn insert and she loved it. Now she cries and cries if I put her in it on my front or on my hip. Last night I tried her on my back - her doc thinks she has enough head control for that - and she REALLY hated it. She loves the moby wrap, though.

So my question is, did anyone have a baby that hated the Ergo at some point and then love it later? I'm really hoping I didn't waste money on it, and that in time she'll love riding on my back.

    DS was/is small ( 4.5 lbs at birth) so I think it took  us longer to grow into the Ergo. We tried it around 4 months, I think, and he just didn't fit comfortably in it yet.  He also LOVED the Moby.  I think around closer to 5 - 5 1/2 months he really fit well in the Ergo and loves it now.  I use it all the time!

    This makes me feel a little better about it. She really may still be a little too small. She also was tiny at birth (5.6 lbs) and is still kind of small for 4 months. I think I'll just put it away for now and try again in a month or so.
