Anyone here still nursing an older baby?

What do plan to do?

My boobs hurt like hell, but DS will not take formula, and now he wont even accept a bottle of breastmilk because he thinks it could be formula. I will continue to nurse as long as it's approved by his pedi and my doc but I'm just curious what you may be doing (going to wean/still nurse/etc)....and how you plan to do it.

    I only nurse DS 2x a day.

    It hurt really bad today so I'm not sure if it's me or him. Either way, I'm going to keep it up as long as I'm allowed. I cut him back from 4x to 2x per MW instructions.

    If you have no issues with your pregnancy, there's no reason to stop nursing. I might end up tandem nursing if DS is a stickler about weaning in late 2nd tri.

    your DS still isn't STTN, right? I am still nursing mine to get him back down...so I feel like I nurse 6-8 times in 24 hours! I'm trying to nurse morn/noon/night, but it's so hard to cut back when he won't accept any kind of replacement nurishment. I guess it takes time...and pain...lots of pain...

    I am painfully nursing and pumping 5 times a day.  I plan to wean when DS is 1 year.

    Still nursing (only 5 weeks along) and will continue to nurse until DS weans himself. If that means tandum nursing than I'm fine with that :)

    It's weird. My boobs are a bit sensitive when he isn't nursing but when he is I don't feel a thing.

    I am. It was really bad for a while, but better now. We are making efforts to wean completely...but DS is over a year, so we can do cow's milk (which he hates btw). DS would never take formula either.

    I just weaned my DD 2 weeks ago.  My OB will only let me EBF until 20 weeks due to PTL (but I know other OB's will let you EBF throughout your pregnancy).  My supply was really dipping and my DD did fine with formula.  I had really bad m/s and it was taking a toll on me physically.  I slowly weaned down to 1 nursing session a day and then cut it out.  I was engorged for a few days but it has gotten better and I feel so much better now.  Have you tried different formulas?  I don't have much advise for how to get you DS to take a bottle but H & H 9 mos.  Welcome to 2u2!!
