I schedule my life around my beta.

 

My MIL just asked if I wanted to go with them to our nephews 1st bday party on April17.

I declined because (i didnt tell her this, but..) if we do our FET on the 5th, my beta will be on the 18th and I am definately not holding out on testing this time.

If its negative, the last thing i was to do is drive across the state and cooo over babies.

    I schedule what little social life we have around potentially fertile times so we can have sexy time without having to leave get togethers early.etc.. We are not alone in this; most ladies on this site probably do much the same.

    Hopefully you'll have good news!  My RE told me to test on the 9th which is also MH 30th birthday and the day of his very large party at our house.  I will probably test the day before or after so I'm not a debbie downer when the BFN shows up.  So although it's not a beta, I totally agree, it runs my life.

    you're not alone Autum.The first thing I think of when someone asks if we can do something is whether it might interfere with our IUI, testing, etc. Totally normal.. I think. :)

    no no... your situation is completely understandable, too!

    I would want to be prepared for the week... its like you get all the time off THEN the test. If only it could be before (either to be estatic and e-dream looking at baby stuff...or to gather your emotions)

    hahaha... i use to get so mad when my dad would 'pop over' during fertile time.

    I just feel bad because i know how much i'd love to see the family and be there... but i'm just too scared.

    That is totally understandable.  I haven't had a beta yet, but I totally see myself as the type of person that would be right there with you.  I agree with the other posters, when we're making plans to go do something, I think about where I'd be at in my cycle.

    TTC #1 since October 2008. Dealing with MFI.
    IVF #1 w ICSI in July 2010 = BFN
    IVF #2.1 in Oct 2010 converted to IUI = BFN
    IVF #2.2 w ICSI in Dec 2010 = BFN
    Met with new RE in new city on 1/31/11.
    IVF #3 w ICSI in April 2011. HPT on 5/9 = BFP!
    Beta #1 on 5/10 (10dp5dt) = 99.4. Beta #2 on 5/12 = 284. First u/s on 5/26. = Fraternal TWINS!
    Twin boys born & lost on 8/16/11 at 18w1d due to PPROM & preterm labor.
    IVF #4.1 in Jan 2012 converted to IUI on 1/7/12 = BFN
    IVF #4.2 w ICSI in Feb 2012. Lupron on 2/10. Stims on 2/18. ER on 2/29- 7R,6F
    ET scheduled for 3/5/12- nothing to transfer :(
    Dh seeing new MFI uro & Dh starting meds- June 2012.
    IVF #5 in Dec 2012 = BFFN.
    IVF #6 planned for Spring 2013. Praying for our take home baby/ies.
