Easter Baskets

What kind of stuff do you put in Easter baskets for LO?  I know, I have been here before, so I should know this, but I don't remember.  I bought P a zhu zhu pet bunny, swimsuit cover up, sunglasses, flipflops, Princess and the Frog movie, bubble maker gun, a huge thing of bubbles, and candy.  I bought Jack a couple of sippy cups, sunglasses, pacifier and clip, a book about sign language, a play cell phone.  (I'll go back and get puffs or something and maybe biter biscuts.)

Am I forgeting anything?

Re: Easter Baskets

  • I got pretty much the same stuff! It's weird how excited I am for a 7 month old's first Easter!

  • I think some snacks and some cute little infant toys. Nothing crazy this year

I think that's about it!  I am also putting some puffs and cheerios in eggs for him so he has some eggs too.  DD is getting chocolates and jellybeans in her eggs.  I have a baby Bible in there for him too and a lift-the-flap baby faces book (he loves those).  Oh and some soft toy cars.  Oh and a sun/water hat.

  • I got her a couple of books, and a stuffed toy pig and an English Milky Bar Easter Egg, which I'll end up eating :)
  • Aw.. now I just feel cheap.  C's getting a big jug of bubbles that I bought for $1.

Maybe when I'm at Walmart this afternoon... but no more stuffed animals!  He's got a freakin' zoo already!

I was thinking this too. I am of the "less is more" club. Sydney is getting a basket with a peanut better egg (with her name on it), a chocolate bunny, some peeps, some jelly beans, and a book. That's it. I don't want to set the bar too high for the Easter Bunny ;)

  • DH was a huge Care Bears fan so we picked up the Care Bears movie for Logan.  I figure since he's only 3 weeks old that will probably be all we do. If I get candy I'll just eat it.  I don't need candy. :)

  • I wasn't planning to do anything, but now I'm wondering if I should.  Maybe I'll just buy her something I was planning to buy anyway, and just call it an Easter present.  Can you fit a play kitchen in an easter basket? Stick out tongue

I got some socks, Peter Rabbit books and a windup rabbit.  Nothing crazy this year and no candy. :(

I figure the only memory will be of the photographs I take!
