  • Are you talking about a lap desk for the laptop, or a carrying case?

  • You mean like a lap desk? I got mine at Target for $20 bucks and I love it! It does tend to get a little warm sitting on my lap but other than that it's great, not heavy or bulky.

  • Good question. Currently using a pillow to protect mine and DH's goods. Would like to hear about this other option. :)

  • I got mine from Office Depot or Staples. It wasn't very expensive. It doesn't have a cooling fan or anything, just holds it at an angle.

  • Same here. Just one that's not big and bulky like most I've seen.

  • I had one....from Best Buy - it was about $20.....and it had dual cooling fans! It was awesome. My big dog got a little over-enthusiastic and knocked it on the floor which in turn broke the cord. Ugh. I need to get a new one!

Ditto this, it's nothing fancy, just plastic and holds it up so air can pass underneath... keeps it from overheating which extends the battery length too.  It was from Office Depot, but they sell them everywhere.

  • I have a lap desk and love it. It has a plastic top and a bean bag bottom that goes on your lap. I got it for a gift so I don't know where it came from.
  • I have a lap desk from Best Buy, but I more often use my laptop table from IKEA. I LOVE it. I keep it next to the couch and just lay here watching tv and go on my laptop. DH has one, too - we look like a couple of geeks on our laptops every night.  :)  IKEA has some other items too for laptops, but here's a link to the table we have:

    Good luck!
