Parenting after a Loss

Teething ?

I just called our ped to ask what he recommended for teething; hylands, orajel or something else.

He said that "teething is a myth" and there is no pain associated with the eruption of teeth.  If she is fussy, etc. then there is something else wrong.

Anyone else hear this, or is my doctor a loon?

  • Hmm, I think your doc is a loon, Hmm.  DD right now is miserable from the pain of teething.  We love the Hylands teething tablets so far.

  • I call BS. How can it not hurt them? I was in a ton of pain when my wisdom teeth came in.
  • BS!  I know it hurt me when my wisdom teeth cut through and I'm an adult that knew what to expect!

  • Hmmm....that is a little odd.  My pedi said to give tylenol, but only once I started seeing a white bump on his gums.
