Daycare used Desitin on Eli's diaper rash b/c I hadn't sent rash cream and she "didn't want him to go without." He breaks out with random rashes all the time, to the point where I don't even worry unless I've seen the same thing for two or three diaper changes.
Well, he's still red, and now I have to wash Desitin out of the diapers. How the heck do I do that?
Frustrated, especially because they also forgot (maybe, they don't know) to give him his BREATHING TREATMENT at noon. We're treating for RSV, for crying out loud. Please make note of whether you give him his medicine or not!
Oy. Up until today it's been all good things with daycare!
Thanks for letting me vent.
Re: Arg. Daycare used Desitin on CDs.
Good grief!
At our DCP, we have to provide rash cream and a signed note. If we run out or something, they call to ask me if they can use another kind. I'd be livid about the breathing treatment though.

It was the Desitin Original ointment. And believe me, I'm still pissed about the breathing treatment. I gave him a treatment when we got home, and he seems to be doing fine, so I'm trying to calm down a bit about it.
A little Dawn and they will be fine.
That's annoying and the second is irresponsible!

Thanks. I'll do that!
And forgetting a breathing treatment (or giving it and not making a note) is unacceptable! This is something I would not be able to let go! I might make them call/text me the next few times, just so I'd know it was being done!
I used to work at a daycare. You need to speak to the director about both issues- those are HUGE mistakes on the part of LO's teachers. The cream could have caused a serious allergic reaction, and they should not be putting anything on him that you didn't approve. And skipping his medication is not ok.
Hope you get the Desitin out!
