I give you chocolate covered bacon:

Chocolate-Covered Bacon Recipe

There's a recipe for it in my new issue of Taste of Home. I keep staring at it thinking how weird it seems, and yet oddly appealing. I've heard of chocolate with bacon pieces (I think Vosges makes one). Of course, I would make it with veggie bacon. Nasty or yummy?

I love bacon.

And I love chocolate.

But that might be one of the worst ideas I've seen all day.

Maybe because I don't like food on a stick.

But maybe just because it's kinda gross.

I don't know what to think - how fresh could that bacon possibly be? I would try it if someone made it, but that's about it. I've heard people say they really like the chocolate bacon bar that you mentioned.

I haven't tried it but I've had reports that it's wonderful. One of them is also one of the pickiest eaters I know (I Go4 Wink

I've had some delicious chocolate and bacon scones but just plain chocolate covered bacon doesn't sound quite as nice.

I could eat a pound of bacon on my own and routinely eat entire bags of chocolate candy on my own (like the big bags, not those puny check out aisle ones!)... and yet - not a good looking combo to me at all!

The concept looks pretty good to me - but I would think I would like something chocolatey (like dense brownies or fudge) with a little bacon on top. I LOVE salty/sweet combos - and lately I even have been been getting into spicy/salty/sweet.

I usually don't post much on this board, but I couldn't reist responding to this post. I LOVE chocolate covered bacon!! Someone offered me some a while back, and I took one (although I was grossed out) because I didn't want to be rude. I took a teeny bite, and it was surprisingly delicious. If you like snacks that are sweet and salty, this might be for you.
