Freecycle & donating woot!

Today I picked up a Winnie the Pooh cake pan off Freecycle- DD loves Pooh right now and I told her if she makes poopy in the potty she will get a Pooh cake.  Yes, I employ bribery as a PLing technique.

I also dropped off 2 bags @ our local shelter containing Easter candy I don't want my family eating, some canned goods from spring cleaning our pantry (still in progress) and a ton of J&J baby toiletries.

Is it bad that I donated all of that non-EF stuff?

Not at all.  If you weren't going to use it you probably would have let it sit in your cabinet until you finally threw it away.  And while that product sat in your cabinet someone else would have to buy new product.  And THAT is truely non-EF.

    She said it best :)

Will you please PIP the Pooh cake?

And am I horribly immature for thinking that it's funny that a "poo" cake is part of your PL bribe?

Heck no it's not bad!  I donated all of the free formula, J&J baby stuff, and a huge box of disposable wipes to our local Army Community Service because I knew they do Baby Baskets for junior enlisted Soldiers and the stuff would get used.  Just like the pp said, it was either that or I'd eventually just throw it away and where's the sense in that?!
