Anyone have Alltel Wireless?

We currently have Verizon Wireless, but our contract is up next month. We have no complaints with Verizon, just that it's a little expensive. We're looking into switching providers.

Anyone have their cellphones through Alltel Wireless? Do you like them? Any complaints?

    We have Alltel.  They have better prices and service where we are located than any of the other carriers.

    We switched to Alltel when we moved to Montana, b/c T-mobile didn't have service out here. The only complaint I have is that you can't upgrade phones until 3 months before your 2 year contract is up. We opted for the cheap free phones - big mistake, and now we're stuck with them until 2010. :o( Buying new phones with Alltel is very expensive. When we were with T-mobile, as long as we extended our contract, we could upgrade phones fairly inexpensively. As far as service, we haven't had much of a problem, and it seems to be very reliable. We also really like the MyCircle feature.

    I thought Verizon was in the process of buying Alltel....
    DHs entire family has Alltel and they were told that it was going to become Verizon soon.

    We also switched from Verizon to Alltel becasue of a move, and I really haven't noticed a difference in coverage. I really like the MyCircle--works well for us!

    verizon bought alltel. in january, they will pretty much be the same. we have alltel now and i plan to stay with alltel anyways bc they do have the most minutes for your money.
