Where are good places to buy wooden toys? I'm trying to replace DD's plastic toys as I can with wooden so they will last thru DS and future children. Plus her plastic toys just wear out so much more quickly. Any links or stores or brands you like?
I have lots of Melissa & Doug things, which I know are MIC but at least they're not plastic.
Re: Wooden toys ?
Plan toys is another brand that makes wooden toys. Ds has a few small trucks from them. I bought them off amazon.
We have some Plan toys, and we have a bunch of little wooden animals from ANAMALZ that are fantastic - by far DD's favorite toys (really good ones to have in the purse to entertain when having to wait somewhere).
Oh yes - DS loves these too!
brands not already mentioned:
HABA (awesome!)
manhattan toy
stores:
oompa.com
gap.com, landofnod.com, potterybarnkids.com all have wooden toys as part of their toy sections
ourgreenhouse.com
i purchased my most recent haba toy at diapers.com and i know amazon sells them too. you can do brand searches at most stores and come up with at least a few options.
I got some from mikebtoys on Etsy for my nephew.
And I got others from an Amish store down the road
