I'm on a baking kick!

I love to cook, but lately I've only wanted to bake. I don't actually want to eat what I bake, so does anyone want some leftover banana cake or apple pie?  Big Smile

I've decided to participate in my church's silent auction by donating baked goods. Maybe that will cure me.

  • Yum yum! I'd be happy to PM you my address, lol.

Donating is a very nice option!

I love baking too but I eat what I make, that explains the 20 lbs I need to lose.
  • let me know if you come up with some good gluten free recipes!

AH! The Better Homes and Gardens cookbook has a coconut crust recipe that looks great! It's a pie crust, but I don't know which pies would be good with it.

My MIL made an almond crust that was GF once and it was REALLY good! I'll have to get the recipe from her.

Also, the brownies at the Fresh and Natural Foods store are amazing!!! The mix comes in a purple and teal bag that is sort of the shape of the Pepperidge Farms cookie bags. I'd eat those over regular brownies any day!
