Success after IF

Hysteroscopy and D&C tomorrow

Thank goodness I got in in time!  There was a moment there I thought it wasn't going to happen....

They'll go in, remove polyp and I'll be done:)  Tell me it's easy, i'm assuming it is?

A question.  What is the recovery time?  I want to start exercising here sometime soon, give it, what, a couple of days??

Re: Hysteroscopy and D&C tomorrow

  • I had this done at the same time as my lap surgery so I can't give you a time for just that. Just wanted to wish you GL!!

  • With my hysterscopy they removed my uterine septum, so my recovery time was a week. After a week it was still sore but I did yoga and walking. good luck!

  • Don't have any answers for you just wanted to wish you luck!!! and speedy recovery!
  • The recovery is pretty easy. I had some cramping and spotting for a few days and then was pretty much back to normal. We weren't to have sex for 3 weeks but I think exercise was ok after about a week or so - once I felt up to it. Good luck! It's easy!
  • Good luck!

I had basically no recovery time.  I just took it easy the day of, but i went back to work the next day.  I may have been a little crampy, but nothing major.  The anesthesia was the worst part.  I think i was a little nauseated from that.

Let us know how it goes.....

  • My in office hysterscopy was pretty easy.  I don't remember the recovery, but I think I didn't run the following weekend.

My hysterscopy combined with lap was tougher to recover from....incision in belly button, anethesia nausea, lots of gas from the surgery - what i mean by gas is my ribs hurt from the gas they inject in you to do the surgery - this is for a lap I believe.  it is harder.

  • good luck!

is the polyp the source of all your pain?

    Thanks!

I highly doubt it, the pain is not in that area.

  • Good luck!  My recovery time after my in office hysteroscopy and D&C were both pretty easy.  I remember being back to normal within a few days after both.

  • Good luck!

I have had to polyps removed this way and it is not bad. I always get sick from the anesthesia though. You will feel much better after a day or two. My 1st one, I had a ton of neck and shoulder pain from some med they put in my IV and that was worse than the cramping from the procedure.

  • I had both done last summer and honestly felt fine within a day or two, but took about 2 weeks off for proper healing. We were trying to start another cycle ASAP so I was trying to take it extra easy.

It was a pretty "easy" procedure, the only hard part was peeing after, it hurt really bad for the first day.

  • Good luck! I hope it's painless and does the "job".
