I'm starting a PP weight loss check in.

Anyone who wants to join in, can! We can offer each other advice, support and hopefully keep each other on the right track!

Post your name, what workout or diet you are doing and how far away you are from your goal. I've never done this before, so I hope it works out okay! I will try to post daily, but we'll see how that goes.

30 Day Shred

Today is my first day, so I am 35 pounds away from my goal (boo). 

I am also working on eating a little better, though my eating habits really aren't that bad to begin with.

    I don't have an official workout/diet routine yet. I am just trying to eat well until I get cleared from my OB. Once I do, I will be starting Bikram yoga, Zumba, and Pilates. I've been eating lots of salads and trying to eat healthy.

    My goal is to tone and get back into shape. I don't have a lot of weight to go because I never gained a ton of weight (I tried...) and a lot of it was the twins.

    No plan. Just breastfeed and walk often. Maybe some toning exercises.

    Lost 27 so far (9 weeks PP). 20-25 to go!

    What I'm Doing: gym - treadmill and bike; also counting calories. i lost 30 pounds before my wedding/getting pregnant by doing these things, hopefully it works for me again! :-)

    How Much: 8 pounds to pre-pregnancy weight (gained 29 while pregnant)?

    I do about 20 minutes of yoga every day, but need to add some cardio.  I'm thinking of starting the 30 DS. 

    I will start Weight Watchers next week while BFing. 

    I have lost all but 4 pounds of pregnancy weight, but I would love to lose another 40 pounds. (I have been pg 4 times since 11/07, and the weight just kept creeping up.) Indifferent

    I actually weigh less than I did before getting pregnant...I just don't want to gain the weight back once my appetite picks back up and/or I start bcp's again. 

    I hope to start walking as soon as I'm cleared and I'm also making a better effort to watch what I eat.

    Great Idea!  I am still not cleared to workout yet so right now it is breastfeeding and walking!  After that I go back to hitting the gym 6 days a week...can't wait.  I am 15 pounds away from pre-pregnancy but would like to up it to 25.

    An hour walk a day until I'm cleared at 6 weeks PP which is in a week and a half (yay!)

    I gained 65 pounds during pregnancy (I was 10 underweight) and lost 30 when I came home from the hospital. I'm 25-30 away from my goal weight.

    My eating habits are horrible and am a fast food junkie, so I'm cutting out fast food and soda and trying to eat healthier foods and drink only water. Plus I'm going to try and go back on water pills since I'm not breastfeeding.

     Hopefully when I'm cleared sexy-time will help with the weight loss *wink wink*

    Not doing an official workout, but i'm hitting the treadmill, using our bowflew and walking, as well as eating a clean diet... oh.. and BFing.

    I don't want to even thing about how much I have to lose. I actually didn't really gain much with pregnancy, and I'm about 15lbs below my pp weight, but I've still got plenty to go.

    I've been doing WW for just under a month and have lost 9lbs. This is after my initial baby weight loss (I weighed myself a month after delivering and used that as my "start weight").
     
    I have 15lbs more to lose before I reach my pre-pregnancy weight, but another 55lbs to lose after that. I was overweight when I got pregnant and then I gained 53lbs during my pregnancy Embarrassed

    Lisa - 8.5 weeks postpartum and have about 24 lbs left to lose.  I'm doing weight watchers and started back to the gym last week.  I'm hoping to get to the gym 4-5 times a week and go for walks with LO, Hubby and our pups 2-3 times per week, weather and hubby's work schedule permitting.

    So far, I'm a bit frustrated with my body because it seems to be holding onto the weight I gained during pregnancy for dear life!  I lost 20 lbs before getting pregnant with WW and hope it it works as well for me this time!

     I'm down 16 pounds from where I was when I got pregnant with DS and 40 from when I got pregnant with my first LO (she is now 3 1/2).  I'm one of the lucky ones that comes through each pregnancy weighing less than where I started so the three pregnancies in a row really helped me out.

    That said I tend to gain some of each loss back by eating poorly and drinking my calories.  This time I am trying to eat a **little** better, only enjoying adult beverages in moderation and on the weekend, and that is about it.  I'm not into exercise.  However, I do have Wii fit and vowed that if I hit 150 again (I'm currently at 145) I will start using it.

    I am doing a "biggest loser" competition with my mom and sister. I started 2 weeks ago and have been counting calories on www.thedailyplate.com, going to workout at our local YMCA, also joined a mom's group that does a lot of walks (with strollers) on a trail nearby.Also BFing but so far it hasn't helped, lol...

    I am 68 lbs from my goal weight. (I was overweight when I got pregnant.)

  • I want to join, but I'll have to move up to the 3-6 month board soon!

    Corrie, 12 weeks pp.  I gained 30 total, lost 25 within two weeks, and gained 5 back (boo).  So I have 10 to go to pre-pg weight.

    I can not figure out a way to exercise right now.  My gym child care won't take babies until they are 6 months.  I have an almost 3-year-old who rarely naps, and she never gives me time to workout at home.  Kids are up at 6:30 and go to bed around 9, so there's really no time while they're sleeping.  Both of my kids hate the stroller, so I can't even take them for walks.  I'm at a loss.

    So, for now, I'm just trying to watch what I eat.  But I'm frustrated because my body seems to gravitate to 130 lbs while I'm BFing.  With my DD, I only gained 18 lbs, lost half immediately, and stuck at 130 lbs for pretty much a year.  This time I gained more, lost more, and I'm still stuck at 130.

    Laci- 10 weeks pp. I gained 28 lbs this time around and have about 8 pounds to lose.

    Exercise using the elliptical about 4 times a week, taking walks and just started the 30 day shred. I have a 2 year old who is a workout in itself!

    I love sweets- so I def think that is my down fall. I would rather not give that up and just increase my daily exercising- plus I'm bf so that shouwld help!

    I've got about 30lbs. to go to my goal weight.  I lost 20 within 2 weeks after having DD and haven't budged since.  I just started the 30DS last week and am going to try to do it at least 5 times a week in addition to pilates and walking.  This is just to get me back into some sort of shape/rebuild some strength to start training for a couple sprint triathlons this summer.  My appetite really has not returned since I had DD, but of what I am able to eat, it's all healthy.  If anything I want to try and increase what I'm eating in hopes of maybe jumpstarting my metabolism as I increase my workout intensities.

    I'm not cleared for exercise yet so I have been trying to take walks with DD and trying to watch what I eat. I have 12 pounds to go to pre pg weight, but would love to lose another ten or fifteen. I'm starting the 30 day shred when I am cleared.

  • Hi!   8 weeks PP.

    I have not been weighing myself (too discouraging at this point!) but my goal is to be comfortable wearing sleeveless and shorts by the time our super hot summers hit here in far norcal.  I have been doing 30DS (Did 1 week of it, and had to take the last week off) starting again now!  I am trying to just eat healthy and lots of veggies, and I'm EBF.

    I am about 20 pounds from my goal weight right now, hoping to make it to my goal by August.  

    Not cleared to work out yet but when I am I plan on doing 30 day shred and running with the couch to 5k program. (used both before and loved them) I am also going back to weight watchers.

    i actually gained a ton......literally i gained a small person.....no one believes me when i tell them but it's true......i gained 110 lbs while pregnant. i was 127 lbs when i got pregnant and i weighed myself the morning of my c/s and i weighed 237. i'm not sure of my current weight. the last time i weighed myself was march 5th before i went to vegas and i was down 43 lbs (i was at 194 lbs at that time). i decided not to weigh myself until april 8th to give myself some time of not obsessing over the scale.

    as for working out i do it 7 days a week. i do my elliptical machine (at home) 7 days a week, do crunches/leg lifts 7 days a week, and i run 3 days a week and walk 1 of my dogs the other 4 days that i don't run. i'm also counting calories daily (no free days). i cut out soda, starbuck's, and alcohol. i'm very strict.....which is why i gained so much when i was pregant.......i stopped working out halfway through my pregnancy and i definitely wasn't counting calories......everyday then was a free day.

    i'll weigh myself on april 8th and update then.

    I haven't been cleared to workout yet...and I have never had to work out or eat healthy food, so this is all going to be a challenge to me. I've lost 27 pounds and have 28 to get to my pp weight. BUT... with the stress of TTC I gained about 15 pounds before getting pregnant so I really have 40 pounds to get to my goal weight again. Seems so far away:(

  • I'd like to join! I just started using our elliptical on very low resistance this week. Once I have my pp appointment next week, I plan on starting couch to 5k and resuming my pre-pg weight lifting routine. I also need to get motivated to start counting calories, but I keep avoiding it due to the obscene amount of Easter candy I've been eating. I gained 50 pounds with my pg. I lost 30 in 2 weeks, and have been stuck ever since. I need to lose another 15 pounds after that, so I have 35 pounds to go :( I'm in the Air Force, so I absolutely have to lose this weight and get in shape so I can pass my fitness test in august.

    Im Jenny- almost 4 wks PP and am already back at my prepregnancy weight(only gained 13 lbs) but would like to lose another 20-30 lbs.

    Plan on taking walks w/DD and eating well. Also a junk food junkie, so trying to cut that out and drink a gallon of water a day.

    Once I get the ok from my doctor to start working out again I plan on hitting the gym a few times a week, start jogging with my hubby again, and join our soccer team again.
    As for eating I eat pretty healthy for the most part, I would love to cut out the soda and sweets.
    I gained 25 pounds with my pregnancy and have lost 10 pounds so far. So I have another 15 to go and then lots of toning down.

    My name is Lisa, I gained 32 lbs with DD~ I've so far lost 21 lbs..so 11 to go! Which from my experience with my first..the last 10 lbs are the worst!!

    I am almost completly healed  from my episiotomy so I am hoping I can start walking by the end of next week! And as soon as 6 weeks is up..KETTLEBELLS! Ladies if you haven't tried a kettlebell work out..you need to! I lost 15 lbs doing this workout 20 mins a day for 2 months before I got pregnant! Amazing! I was in the best shape I have ever been in!!

    Walking with DH and DS also using my wii fit which helped me lose 30 lbs before I got pregnant in addition to watching what I eat. I was a serial snacker when I was pregnant.

    I've lost 30lbs so far and have 30 more to go!

    30 Day Shred (day 9) and maybe WW (I haven't really changed my diet yet at all because I'm breastfeeding and afraid of losing my supply) if I don't get good results near the end

    I gained 35 lbs during pregnancy and have 15 left to go until pp weight, but I would like to lose 20-25 total.

    Thought about doing the 30 day shred, sounds like fun, and going for walks w/ LO.  Trying to eat better too, but those damn Oreos are SO delicious! :)

    I've been cleared to do low impact exercises and am waiting till my 6 week to start doing more. I am doing a calorie counter on my droid and it also keeps track of exercise so I'm trying to watch what I eat. I would love to be walking more but since it has hailed/snowed/rained this past week I'm sticking to Dance Dance revolution! :P
