We are going to start solids in a week and we have hard wood floors in the kitchen. I'm trying to decide if it's easier to clean a splat mat or just scrub the floors.
I honestly contemplated it but then figured it would be more trouble b/c I would still have to clean the splat mat, plus I would have to move the splat mat to clean underneath for my regular cleanings. I abhor having to move things around to clean, so I figured I'd just be better off cleaning the floor itself.
We don't have one yet but when she starts on self feeding I plan on getting one. We also have wood floors w/ deep beveled planks, so I think it will be easier to have a mat.
We have three cats and two of them have decided that whatever goes into LO's mouth is good enough for them. When I fed her, they swarm. They will also lick her tray clean if I don't clean it right away. LOL
Nah, I have dogs for that. Its easier to swiffer the floors post dog clean up than to clean the splat mat by hand. But really, so far, she had gotten very little one the floor.
Re: Do you use a splat mat?
We don't. Honestly, he's not that messy when I was feeding him. It certainly didn't end up on the floor.
Now that he's feeding himself, it's another story, but I still just clean up the floors after him.
Ditto this.
lol - I was just about to say the same thing!
