Can someone please explain to me why I got AF today?

I'm a little confused right now. I have not seen AF since late Jan when I last took prometrium.

I went to the RE on Friday he did a U/S and checked my CM to look for signs of "O". He said both were negative but just to be on the safe side he wanted me to go have my progesterone level check.

 RN called yesterday, my progesterone level was low so go ahead and start the prometrium. After I hung up with her I called to schedule a Uro appt for my DH. They can't see him until May 11th (happy anniversary honey, now get your butt to the Dr). I called my RE's office back to let them know its going to be over a month before DH gets seen just to check to make sure they really wanted to start a cycle. The RN was busy so they told me they'd call me back today. I did NOT start the prometrium.

Later that evening I was spotting. This morning my spotting was heavy enough to warrant a PL. Well after going to the gym it appears that the spotting has turned into full blown AF. WTF? Is this really AF, and why would she show up now even though I clearly have not O'd? I'm giving my Re's office til 2 to call me back regarding yesterdays question otherwise I will call them with this new development to find out what they want me to do.

    Anovulatory cycles can end at any time.   Mine ranged from 30-55 days.  It isn't really AF, it is anov. bleeding.

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    You can get AF with out ovulating.

    Just kind of ironic timing for me to get AF/annovulatory bleeding for the first time in 2 years!! So do I still need to take the prometrium or do I count this as CD 1? Still waiting for Re's office to call me back.

    Your RE will know best, but when I got annovulatory bleeding mid-Provera dose, my doctor told me to stop taking it. GL!

    Heard from my RE a little while ago. He wants me to come in at 715 on Friday morning for another U/S and discuss what to do with this cycle.
