So I have two wool covers that came with the "weird" free stuff. I want to wash them in the regular wash on cold, because they're really dirty (or at least they seem that way to me). Can I do that without hurting them? I'd then wash with wool wash and re-lanolize. (uh, that's what I need to do to prep them right?)
Also, where did you get your wool wash and lanolin?
Re: Wool cover care
That would probably be fine to do - I'd set my washer on delicate/low spin option if possible.
I just bought some Ewe Need It wool wash with lanolin from Sewcraftybaby (free ship + newsletter code = cheaper than directly from HC) and it works great. You won't necessarily need lanolin if your wool wash contains enough of it. GL!
Also I might try sunning the soakers a bit (Usually sunning isn't the best thing for wool but if they look like some of the other stuff from that lot it might help with the stains)
You should go here: https://www.lambspun.com/ for your wool wash.
DUH! I forgot we had a local store. This will be dangerous, though, because I'll probably walk out with yarn too.
Trust me, you will.
I have not visited the site. I am afraid to visit the site. Will we need to go there when I'm in CO in July? Hmmmm?
If you can get up to FoCo.
) I've heard great things about this shop, but have been too scared to go for fear my wallet will become a lot lighter.
It would be quite the drive for you (probably 1.5-2 hours), BUT there are some awesome LYSs in Denver we could go to. Oh yes, we could.
I'm dying here. Slowly, surely dying.
In fact, there is one mere blocks from a local, organic cupcake shop that we could go to. Best.cupcakes.ever.
Cupcakes and yarn? Oh my.
I might have to bring Joanie. Would that be acceptable?
Of course it would. I will probably bring Emily.
