Did you get 2....

Diaper Genies and changing pads?  I want to have some kind of changing station downstairs as well.

I registered for disposable diaper bags and a pack and play with a changing table, so I wasn't sure if it would be necessary to get an extra diaper genie and changing pad, but one of my twin books suggested to get two of both items.

Plus with summer babies I feel the diapers are going to stick even more, so I didn't know if the bags would be as good as the genie.  Thanks!

  • We got one diaper genie that we use upstairs in their room.  We use the top of the dresser with the changing pad as their changing station to save on space.

Downstairs we use the PNP basinette to change their diapers and use the kitchen trash can because we take the trash out just about every day.

  • Downstairs we just use the changing pad that came with the changing station and change them on the floor, couch, etc.  We also use the kitchen garbage b/c we take it out all the time.  I do have some of those little bags they sell at BRU and when I remember, I use them for the poopy diapers.  They work really well and the garbage doesn't smell at all.

We just use an ottoman covered with a chux (disposable adult undperpads), a towel, and then another chux as our changing location.  We didn't start using our diaper champ until they started eating regular food because it really didn't smell until them.  We just used a regular trash can beside our changing area.

  • We have two diaper pails, one upstairs in their room and one downstairs.  We used to just use the PNP when the girls were downstairs and now that they are older, I just change them on the floor.
