3rd Trimester

Should my boppy be in my hospital bag?

Any 2nd timers think it would be helpful to have in the hospital since I will be BFing?

  • I took mine but it wasn't in my bag, it was in the car until I needed it. DH ran out to get that and a few other things.

  • YES! It helped so much in the hospital, I used it religiously for nursing. :)
  • Thanks ladies!  Much appreciated.  I figured it would be helpful, but man that hospital bag is getting LARGE!  I suppose I should get used to it.
  • I didn't take mine the first time & SO wish I had! I will definitely be taking it this time!

    This! Mine is packed too

  • As a first timer, yes! I wish I had a breastfeeding pillow to feed baby with. The ones from the hospital are just not the same.

  • Mine is in the car with the breast pump.  I obviously won't need either right away so DH can go get them.  The extra stuff in the car is ridiculous but I don't want to drag it all in.  Some extra shirts, bags to bring stuff home, and diaper bag with LOs outfits are waiting in the car til we need them.
  • I'm bringing mine.  I did not bring it last time and I regretted it.  It makes the beginning stages of bfing so much easier.

  • I never used mine with my 1st to bf, I used it for other things.  But I don't think it can hurt.
  • Yes, I used mine last time and will bring it again. I'll also be bringing my own favorite pillow from home. I'm super picky about my pillow!
  • I think I'm planning to bring mine.

  • looks like im in the minority but NO - theres no way I'll be bringing any of my pillows or my boppy. Hospitals are gross imo. I'll be leaving mine at home.

plus I like to pack light - all that stuff in unness imo. Youre likely only there for 2 nites at most.

  • I talked to the LC when I had my first baby and she said you won't need it in the hospital because you will have your tummy which will be like a spare tire or pillow for a few days. I did not bring it for the first three and I don't think I will need it for this one either. Just another thing to try to haul out of the hospital.
  • I bring mine every time!
